A Little More About Me

Throughout my training, I have had the pleasure of working with primarily adults in settings such as group private practice, college counseling, and community outpatient mental health. My approach to therapy is integrative and eclectic, often pulling techniques from various evidenced-based therapies to best cater treatment to the individual and their unique struggles. I believe that no two experiences can ever be the same no matter how similar the factors and understand that change can be difficult.

I also typically like to incorporate humor when appropriate in sessions, fueled by the belief that laughter is one of the best medicines for mental health and have found it beneficial in building rapport and comforting clients in my work.

Currently, I am working towards a doctorate in Clinical Sexology and am a LGBTQ+ Ally!

Professional Services

  • Top view of two cappuccino cups with latte art on yellow saucers, sunglasses, and a framed quote "Inhale the future, exhale the past" on a wooden table.

    Individual Therapy

Client and counselor work together to identify therapeutic themes and treatment goals for ongoing sessions.

Professionally, I aim for a casual “two people talking in a coffee shop” approach and will apply evidenced-based therapies, strategies, and suggestions throughout our discussions.

  • Two hands exchanging a black paper heart.

    Couples & Relationship Therapy

The relationship is considered “the client” and focus is on making sure each person feels heard and validated to help address the presented concerns.

Sure, I can play referee if you want, but the overall goal will be to help partners learn to communicate and problem-solve without feeling like someone needs to be definitively “right or wrong” to resolve issues.

    Sex Therapy

Talk therapy for individuals and/or partners with emphasis on sexual concerns, issues, dysfunction, curiosities, satisfaction, sexuality, and addressing myths in a safe, nonjudgmental environment.

Yes. We can still joke and laugh at sexual puns if that helps with comfort during sessions, but the hope is that overtime you will also feel more empowered to express any concerns and questions without fear of it being “awkward.”

Frequently Asked Questions

  • I wish! However, while we’re still searching for that magic wand, therapy can be as “magical” as we make it.

For instance, sometimes the magic can be in gaining new insights and perspectives. For some, it may be doing something different that they never thought they could do before. For others, it could even feel magical to be heard or validated about something that they’ve felt they had to keep hidden for so long.

    No guarantees but who knows…

  • Currently, my practice is fully virtual and only offering Telehealth appointments to individuals PHYSICALLY located in either states of Pennsylvania and New Jersey at this time.

Telehealth sessions can be conducted over a HIPAA-compliant video chat system either found in the client portal account or can be accessed directly through email and/or text messaging.

  • I do not specialize in treating eating disorders or active substance use/abuse disorders.

  • I do not offer court-mandated therapy, child custody evaluations, nor any forensic-related matters at this time.

  • At this time, I am only accepting clients ages 18 and older.

  • Nope. Sex therapy is still talk therapy but with emphasis on sexual issues and concerns. You can click here to learn more!

  • That’s okay, it’s totally normal and a common feeling to have! I do my best to meet you where you’re at and we will explore concerns and issues at the pace you set.

The hope is that with time and sufficient rapport building, any feelings of embarrassment at the thought of sharing certain things will fly right out the window and that you’ll feel more at ease that there is no judgment during sessions!

  • There’s only one way to find out!

I often encourage clients to give me 4-5 sessions and if we click, great! If not, no worries, just be honest with me and I will help you find a therapist and/or offer referrals for others that may better suit your therapeutic needs.

  • As much as I love dogs, it’s still cats all the way for me :)

My fur-babies, Yoshi (left) and Navi (right) may also occasionally join sessions. At times they might cause chaos in the background to cheer you up and/or entertain you!
